Just the other day I was enjoying a cup of tea and indulging in a little Pinterest therapy when I came across the title photo (above) in my feed. I thought to myself…oh la la… that is one chic little Parisian bistro! I have to see more! I clicked on the image, and to my surprise, I was brought to Studio Munge’s Portfolio page where I learned that this little piece of heaven is located right here in Toronto! Why did I not know this was here? And more importantly…when can I come for dinner? The restaurant is called La Société and it’s located at 131 Bloor St West in the Yorkville Neighbourhood. The Parisian inspired bistro was designed by Toronto’s extraordinary design firm, Studio Munge. They specialize in luxury hotel, food & beverage and residential spaces. The studio was kind enough to allow me to use these wonderful photos, shot by Martin Tessler for the post. Now lets have a chat about some of the dazzling design elements that they used to create the restaurant’s chic atmosphere…
La Société has their own heated garden terrace with Parisian inspired bistro chairs.
Notice the exquisite brass handles that read “push”? A custom piece no doubt.
When you love design, you can appreciate it in all forms. If you look closely at the photo above, you will notice that the graphic designer snuck the word bistro in between the larger letters. Very clever! Can we just take a second to appreciate all the time and effort that must have gone into the floor design and execution…Well done! Studio Munge is on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest and they have many more projects for you to view and enjoy. As for me, I know where I’m going on my next date with Tim…Happy Thursday!
