roses (1 of 1)

Today I’m sharing 5 stylish flowers for the home. Have you ever looked through a design magazine and came across a spread that you weren’t particularly fond of, but there was still something you liked about it? I’ll bet that you were drawn to the fresh flowers that they added for the shoot. This happens to me all the time, I see a room that isn’t my taste, but I find myself loving it because of the flowers. Fresh flowers are like the icing on the cake when it comes to design. When I host a dinner party, I always…

Rob Stuart Interiors 3

Rob Stuart is an interior designer who is based in New York City. Today, I am featuring a West Village town house that he designed from his portfolio. This home is very colourful and no doubt reflects the personality of the family who lives here.  The living room pops with hits of raspberry, turquoise and yellow. Rob mixes furniture with traditional influences for a more contemporary look. I love all the gold throughout the home.  That fire place is stunning!     The kitchen is beautifully designed! I am really enjoying that white tin ceiling and the fun chalkboard paint on…

I’m always finding fresh design inspiration on Pinterest. Today, I came across these photos of this gorgeous Bel Air Georgian style home, designed by L.A. designer, Madeline Stuart. Madeline’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor and House Beautiful Magazine. The photography is by Thomas Loof, a prominent photographer in the design world. My interior tastes range from super modern to incredibly traditional, and everything in between. I love Madeline’s sophisticated mix of traditional elements. Since then, DVF has brought colour, pattern and shape to the runway each season. Diane’s office design is no different. The space features bright pink walls, sleek living room furniture,  a cheetah carpet, beautiful coffee table…
